Hi, I am happy to share my latest project, a snake god temple shrine thingy :D.
This was a fun experience, a lot of learning new stuff, and perfecting what I knew already, the usual frustrations you deal with when learning a new piece of software and it was worth it.
There were a lot of new things Ii haven't practiced before or were completely new, I spent a lot of time researching and watching tutorials or references, going back and forth between modeling painting importing in UE, basically learning a new workflow.
All of this time added up, and on top of that I mostly worked on it after job hours, and on weekends, it got to five months and I think I might have rushed the ending :D.
It almost became one of those things that you just want to end, happily when all the things started to add up in UE that feeling went away.
Mistakes I've made :(,
Not working from the start with unreal and importing models there, this caused me to spend extra time making a scene in blender, carefully arranging the stones and other props two times, and modeling the terrain 2 times as well.
Modeling and painting more props or textures that I ended up using. This has an upside to it since now I have more resources to make another environment :D
Other than it was fun and engaging, I feel like I learned a lot but I hope to get feedback and your advice on lighting and other things I have certainly missed.
Thank you!
